The company, known for its top-quality smart security cameras, also announced its support for Matter , a possible indication that a Matter specification for security cameras isn’t too far away. The DIY security monitoring solution is a natural expansion for the company that has a full suite of home security cameras. So natural that it actually announced one at CES 2019 . Amazon is making it a little bit easier to delete Alexa recordings today with a pair of new voice commands. You’ll now be able to say, “Alexa, delete everything I said today,” and the assistant will wipe all of the recordings it stores on Amazon’s servers. Amazon says another command, “Alexa, delete what I just said,” is in the works as well. Until now, you’ve either had to go into the app to delete Alexa recordings one by one, or you’ve had to go through Amazon’s website in order to delete every recording at once. Amazon stores recordings of every request you’ve made to an Alexa device (theoretically, to help improve the voice recognition service and other features). Google made a big goof today when, in what seemed like a relatively minor update to the connected home section of its online Google Store, it accidentally leaked the existence of a new Nest product. In the image, captured before it was taken down by Android Police , you can see Google touting the benefits of the new Nest Hub Max, as it’s called. According to additional marketing images, it seems like the device has a 10-inch HD display, a built-in Nest Camera, and stereo speakers. We don’t have too much else to go on regarding this product, and no information whatsoever on whether it’s an actual product in development (seemingly likely) or when it might be close to getting unveiled (we have no idea).
